Ronnie Baxter was at Shirleys and should have been the center of attention. But out the back Ronnies challengers were getting their eyes in, amongst them Gary Coyne, 17 years of age. Just before he was due to play the 'Rocket' Gary sorted out his opponent with the magical 9 darter and put himself into that very special club.
Congratulations Gary, you must have been absolutely thrilled though you did look a bit 'shook'. But then, why shouldn't you have been.
